Chase for Swamp Tigers

LANG Lang’s Sub District team will be chasing 322 this week against Beaconsfield after a hot day in the field on Saturday.
The first wicket fell with the score on 18 after Rogan Fraser caught and bowled Carlisle and 26 runs later Fraser claimed his second wicket after a smart catch by Sean Hassett.
A 55-run stand was ended when Rick Caddell got his first wicket and at tea the opposition was 3/106.
Not long after the break, Lang Lang got its fourth wicket after Gareth Andrews took a superb catch to send Rick Cook back to the pavilion and three runs later Mick Paez took his second wicket to dismiss the dangerous Don Kerslake.
Lang Lang found it tough to get the next wicket, with Beaconsfield putting on a lucky 90-run partnership that ended when Nic Virtue took a good catch off Adam Dowson.
However, the Swamp Tigers failed to get another wicket with the opposition making 6/322.
With a strong batting line-up, Lang Lang is hoping for a win.
