Liquor

AN INTOXICATED man assaulted two staff members of Safeway Liquor on Friday night, leaving one unconscious.
Detective Sergeant Phil Jury, of Pakenham’s CIB, said two men entered the store at 11pm on Friday 6 November.
The first man, described as being in his late 20s, with short dark hair, wearing a dark jumper and grey tracksuit pants, attempted to buy alcohol.
The man was refused because he was intoxicated. He then became aggressive and threatened the employee.
He picked up a pack of beer bottles and threw them at her before picking up a pack of cans and throwing them at another male employee.
The man then pushed the male employee, who fell backwards and hit his head against a freezer and was knocked unconscious.
The second man, described as being is in his early 20s, of a thin build with curly blond hair, and wearing a high visibility work shirt, then picked up a slab of beer and left the store without paying.
The pair got in to a taxi waiting outside.
The male employee regained consciousness and was taken to hospital for observation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Sgt Jury on 5945 2500.
