CARDINIA Shire residents are being reminded that hard rubbish and green waste collections will start on Monday 16 November and items to be collected should be placed on nature strips the day before.
Mayor Bill Pearson said the collections were well timed to help residents with their bushfire preparations.
“Residents can use the collections to reduce flammable materials from their properties and clean them up,” Councillor Pearson said.
“The hard and green waste collections are an important part of our community’s overall fire readiness,” he said.
