Extras for seniors

Berwick Senior Citizens had a good meeting on Friday 4 December, with almost a full muster of members.
Some of the Christmas decorations were put up and the members hoped to have a few ‘extras’ for the season.
It was reported that Nora Todd and Berrill Elston were still unwell, though the members learnt that they are both much better. Win Robinson was also unwell.
The seniors had two birthdays to honour, Ann Burrows and Mary Sparks, and they both received musical honours. The door prizes went to Audrey Appleyard and Ann Burrows, the meat tray was won by Isabella Price, while the voucher went to Audrey Appleyard.
After the meeting concluded, the club again enjoyed Bingo, where the prizes were won by Lucy Dickinson, Barbara Cunningham (she won twice in a row), Juliet Carrick, Audrey Appleyard (for the third time), Beryl Newman, Josephine Hauroro, Jackie Villalla, Ann Burrows, Elsie Smith and Diane Kimmitt.
The members will be having some ‘extras’ at the next meeting on 11 December, and a charge will be made of $10 to cover the cost. Let’s have a full muster of members.
