GEMBROOK Primary School’s Prep class for 2010 were able to test drive their school uniforms last week as they attended school for their transition day.
While the school term for 2010 does not start until 1 February, the new students were welcomed at the school to see what to expect in the coming year.
Principal Kim Peterson said the day was a chance for the new students to bring their lunch and meet their Big Buddies (Grade 6 students).
“They were shown around the school, all the nooks and crannies, and the playground,” she said.
Later in the afternoon their families came back for a sausage sizzle and met their children’s Big Buddies.
“It’s good to see the students, both Preps and Grade 6, excited about 2010.”
