WHEN Pakenham resident Brian Cook graduated as an officer in Victoria Police on Friday 28 January he became the sixth member of his mother’s family to do so.
His grandfather, retired Sergeant Geoff Sheers, started the tradition 53 years ago and was followed by his two eldest sons, Brendan and Michael.
Michael’s daughter Brooke joined nine years ago and Geoff’s youngest daughter, Andrea, became a police officer last year.
Brian will be stationed at Cranbourne for the next 12 weeks.
