Detached attachment

NO strings attached.
The perfect date movie, or maybe not?
Take it from me, this is not a date movie. I made that mistake last week and still cringe thinking about it. All the posters say it’s a chick flick, with screen hottie Ashton Kutcher.
Other than that I was flying blind – so when it was my choice of the movie, I put two and two together and picked No Strings Attached.
With no-one else to blame but myself for the awkward hour and a half to follow – I must say it was an enjoyable movie.
I laughed, giggled and had a tear in my eye but the awkward moments that made me blush have also marred my opinion.
First of all, the story follows two friends Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Kutcher) through a “friends with benefits” relationship (not really an ideal message you want to send to a prospective partner), and there’s a lot of talk about sex, and then a lot of sex (now, I’m no prude – but it’s probably a little much on the second date). All that aside, the chemistry between Portman and Kutcher really was sweet and believable, a nice movie with humour, love and a happy ending.
This is a movie to see with your girlfriends. Take it from me. –
