SATURDAY was a par event at Drouin, played in mostly fine conditions before the afternoon rain came in.
A Grade winner was Phil Adams (7) with an excellent +4, on a countback from Rod Hammond. Tom Carroll, Steve Bethune and Mark Allen all came in with +2.
B Grade winner was David Low (18) with a stand-out round of +7. Runner-up was Bob Porter +4 on a countback from Peter de Vries and Jim Bransgrove.
C Grade winner was Neil Linklater (26) with +6, from runner-up Phil Edwards +5 and Gerard Engensted +4.
Balls down the line went to +2 on a countback. Nearest to pins: Rob Woodward (14th), Neil Linklater (17), Ivan Moffatt (19), Mark Allen (23 pro pin).
Faye Downward won the women’s competition on Saturday with +2 on a countback from Shelly Buick.

In the stableford event the winner of A Grade was Mick Whitford (11) with a round of 42 points. Runner-up was Phil Adams with 41 followed by David Ferguson on 39.
B Grade went to Gordon Warren (17) with the day’s equal best return of 44 points. Runner-up was Craig Cottier 41 on a countback from Doug Law. Barry Beechey was next with 40.
C Grade winner was Geoff Mirams (22) also with 44 points. Tex Devlin was runner up with 42 followed by Merv Peel 41 and Graham Moon 40. Balls down the line went to 39 on a countback.
