MORE than 70 players took part in the Rotary Club of Bunyip–Garfield’s annual charity Golf Day earlier this month.
It was perfect golf weather and excellent playing conditions, courtesy of the greenkeepers.
Players from outside the local area commented on the magnificent conditions.
The competition was a stableford event, with Calloway scoring for non-handicapped players.
The major winners were Rob Bride (A grade), James Grant (B grade), Gerard Collins (C grade), Leesa Matthews (ladies) and Cameron Bell (Calloway).
Nearest the pin was Rob Bride.
This event has been running for many years, thanks to the support of the players – past and present.
A feature of the day is that lunch and dinner are provided to entrants, as well as a list of prizes.
The Rotary Club is planning for next year and looks forward to more players and sponsors.
