BILL Low pieced together a fantastic score of 47 points in a stableford game at Garfield Golf Club on Saturday.
Playing off a handicap of 36, Low scored 30 points on the front nine.
The winner of A grade was Russell Keay (10) with 42 points, which included an eagle on the second hole. The B grade winner was Dave Lawler (18) with 41 points. Nearest the pins were won by Blair Lidstone (on the fourth), Steve Squires (eighth), Grant McKay (ninth), Russell Keay (11th), Gary Scholes (14th) and Wally Poulter (16th).
Down the lines were won by Ray Jones 44, Paul Govaars 43, Mick Mathews 42, Ron Norton, Blair Lidstone, Graeme Thorpe and Fen Pettiford, all 40.
The ladies winner was Leesa Mathews with 41 points off a handicap of 18.
The Thursday competition was won by David Thorpe (22) with 43 points, He was followed by Peter Lacey with 42, Des Kerr, the in form Ray Jones, Barrie Cousin and George Vitiritti, all 41.
The Super 9 winner was Peter Skinner with 23 points.
The twilight winner was D Caig with 22 points, on a countback from Peter Van Der Hoist. However, Van Der Hoist won the lucky draw. The Sunday competition was won by Brett Wright (30) with 44 points from Wendy Norton (43) with 42 points. They were followed by Ron Norton with 42 and R Schenk, also with 42 points.
