THE Yakkerboo Festival is once again at Cardinia Shire’s doorstep, entering its 35th year of fun and entertainment for families.
Pakenham’s annual festival will begin on Saturday 2 April at 4pm with its Twilight Carnival at Bourke Park.
Fun and festivities kick off on the Sunday with the street market at 10am offering bargains and plenty of nice hand-made bits and pieces. The Cardinia Civic Concert Band will perform in the marketplace.
As always the parade of floats is sure to delight, and this year’s theme is Pantomimes, so be on the look-out for lots of favourite characters.
Free rides and activities will be going all day with rock climbing, pacer cars, a mini ferris wheel and an octopus ride on the agenda.
The giant slide and jumping castle will again be a hit with the children.
Three face painters will be there ready to paint children’s favourite animals on their faces.
Mr Yakkerboo’s 35th birthday party will see lots of cake, icy poles and fun.
And once again there are two new bicycles to be won by two lucky children. An entry coupon for the bike raffle is on page 6.
