EMERALD’S Ritchies supermarket has moved on after an armed robbery last week.
An armed robber took a taxi driver hostage and held up the store in a brazen evening attack.
But things have returned to normal with a local seven-year-old winning a 110cc motorbike in a Ritchies competition.
Dylan, a Grade 2 Menzies Creek Primary School student, won the Lynx Excite Wicked Ride promotion after filling out a form saying – in 25 words or less – whom he’d visit on the bike if he won it.
He wrote: “I would visit Santa to tell him not to bother bringing me a motorbike because I’ve won a totally radical Lynx Wicked Ride.”
Dylan’s father, Darren, said his son had earmarked the bike as his the moment he saw it.
“He hadn’t even entered the competition yet,” he said.
