TOM Cassidy, Rick Scott, Nick Villella and David Leek finished with 56 points to win the 4BBB teams’ event during Saturday’s stableford competition at the Pakenham Golf Club.
The winner of the stableford event was Shane Wilkinson with 44 points. Jon Game took out A Grade with 42 points and Rick Scott C Grade with 42 points.
The nearest-the-pin on the 2nd hole was Bernie Gramc with Dan Cameron the winner on the 5th hole. The 8th hole saw Tony Bertolotti the winner with Chris Shields taking home the pro-pin 14th hole. The winner of the 16th hole was Sean Constable. Sean also was the winner of the 2nd shot on the 6th hole.
The longest drive second shot winners were Luke March (A Grade), John Nooy (B Grade) and Lionel Mahoney (C Grade).

Stableford events will be played on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and will include the Easter Cup. The Easter Cup is played over the three rounds with the best two rounds counting. (If you only play two rounds, both rounds count).
Bookings are essential over Easter due to the number of people wishing to play golf over this long weekend.
The Tuesday after Easter is also a public holiday for Anzac Day, so if you play on Tuesdays and you wish to still have your round please make sure you book in. A stableford event will be played on this holiday.
The following week is men’s par (four-man teams event) followed by the May monthly medal.

Section 1: The Pakenham Section 1 team had a loss 0/5.
Section 2: Pakenham played Morwell at Churchill Monash and came home with the 5/4 win including two wins that went to the 20th hole. A good win by any standard.
Section 3: Traralgon hosted the Pakenham v Trafalgar game in Section 3 pennant, with Pakenham winning 7/2.

Al Campbell came in with 43 points to win the Monday competition from Lou Russell with 39 points.
The nearest-the-pin on the second hole was won by David Hoare with Malcolm Clay taking out the 8th hole and Dave Lummis the 14th hole.

The winner of the Wednesday competition was Clive Smith with 42 points from Peter Mackie and Kerri McKenna both with 39 points.

There was no Wednesday afternoon competition due to the weather conditions, but many people came in the evening to enjoy a lovely meal prepared by our new chef Ben.
Every Wednesday evening between 5.30pm and 8.30pm meals are available. Visitors are welcome.
First Wednesday of every month is a ‘roast night’.

The winner of the Sunday competition was Matt Yusoff with 40 points from Tony Colvin with 39.

The first round of the captain’s knockout was played on Thursday in very wet and heavy conditions. Eight pairs fought for a place in the second round, including Sue King and Phillipa Bebee who played to the 20th hole before getting a result.
Congratulations to the following four pairs who will play this Thursday. Shirley Roberts comes up against Kay Jones, Marg Andrews and Liz Garvey compete, Yvonne Barret and Jan Creagh play against one another and last but not least are Sue King and Jenny Bayard. The overflow event is par.
Ladies pennant commenced on Monday and good luck to the divisions for the season.
