Push for Gippsland

By Melissa Meehan
THE Committee for Gippsland has hit the ground running following its official launch by Deputy Premier Peter Ryan this week in Warragul.
More than 130 people attended the launch at the Wild Dog Winery to celebrate the important milestone.
Committee chairman Harry Rijs said the high number of attendees showed the enthusiastic support behind the concept of providing informed and co-ordinated business leadership on behalf of the region to pursue economic and investment opportunities for Gippsland.
After three years of intensive groundwork, Committee for Gippsland Executive Director Mary Aldred said the launch was a significant event.
“Now the real work on our priorities begins,” she said.
“Including growing our business membership base and kicking off our member round table discussions.”
Details about the Committee for Gippsland’s strategic plan and member roundtable sessions will be available via the website www.committeeforgippsland.com.au or by registering your interest at info@gipps.com.au or calling 5127 0737.
