UPPER Beaconsfield’s two highland dancers are one step closer to making it to Scotland.
Bronte and Prudence Sage held a drive-in movie night and sausage sizzle in Akoonah Park Berwick on Friday 1 April and raised $845.
The two dancers hope to raise enough money to compete in the Highland Dancing World Championship in Scotland in August.
Movie-goers saw Chronicles of Narnia and were treated to a sausage sizzle cooked by the Narre Warren Lions Club.
The fund-raising night was scheduled for Friday 4 February but was washed out in the floods and rescheduled.
