MORE than 20 people turned up at the Biggest Morning Tea hosted by TBM Training in Cranbourne.
TBM’s Finance and Marketing manager Angela McGhee said it was a good turnout with lots of local representatives including mayor Shar Balmes and councillor Amanda Stapledon.
“We had students and friends and family attend as well,” Ms McGhee said.
A raffle was held, with prizes including an ipod sound system, a toaster and a couple of hampers as well as a cake stall.
“All staff baked a cake, which we sold for a dollar or two,” she said.
Casey councillor Amanda Stapledon said the morning tea was fantastic.
“The food was absolutely beautiful, they put on a beautiful morning tea,” Cr Stapledon said.
“The effort of all the employees – that’s what struck me the most. The Cancer Council is also such a worthwhile charity.”
TBM Training provides education and training for people in all walks of life.
The Biggest Morning Tea raised about $670 towards cancer research.
Ms McGhee said it was a very successful event, and they will continue to run it in the future.
“We’re going to make it a regular thing from now on,” she said.
