THE Menzies Creek needs some extra help to remain in top shape.
Meander… a group caring for the Menzies Creek and Emerald Tourist Track Inc has been working to protect, restore and enhance the Menzies Creek stream corridor reserve for the past 20 years.
The group holds a working bee on the third Sunday of the month and needs a hand to continue weed control, indigenous and endangered plant protection, boardwalk and walking track maintenance, seed collection and environmental monitoring.
The Menzies Creek stream corridor reserve extends along the Menzies Creek from Telopea Road in Clematis to Monbulk-Emerald Road in Emerald, where the waterway joins the Woori Yallock Creek.
The next working bee starts at 9.30am on Sunday 21 August. Everyone is welcome to attend, including children with an adult.
