PAKENHAM Angling Club’s Dennis Jacobs and Darcy Rees caught two of the heaviest fish in the South Gipsland region during 2010/11.
The pair collected trophies for their efforts at the recent annual general meeting of the South Gippsland Angling Club.
Jacobs caught the heaviest elephant fish, which weighed 4.088 kilograms – and the heaviest rainbow trout, which hit the scales at 2.165 kilograms. Rees received his trophy for the heaviest trout in the junior section. It weighed a grand 947 grams.
