THE travelling Pine Grove Hillbillies were trailing Cockatoo by two games to six in round six of the South West Gippsland darts competition when they decided to “up tempo.”
The Hillbillies then took the next six games and downed the Brookers eight games to seven, jumping to third place on the ladder.
Bottom-placed Gembrook Bushrangers had a strong win, 10 games to five, against Pakenham, while top side Garfield accounted for third-placed Gembrook Warriors, 10 games to five.
Boss Hoggs had the bye.
The Hillbillies and the Bushrangers jumped up a few spots this week.
