SPEEDING in Sybella Avenue in Kooweerup continues to upset residents.
Leading Senior Constable Brendon Dickson said at the meeting that police would be on the look out for speeding motorists and dangerous drivers in the area.
He reported that in the past month there had been no major crimes in the township but urged residents to lock their vehicles to avoid opportunistic theft.
… BUT slow pace of change
THE Kooweerup-Pakenham Road is overdue for an upgrade, but residents won’t be seeing a change for 15 years.
The road is earmarked to be a dual carriageway.
But residents raised their concerns at the meeting that the road was too dark at night.
One resident asked if street lights could be installed to make the road safer.
