A 54-year-old man was seriously injured after his car flipped and rolled multiple times on the freeway in Longwarry North on Monday.
He was travelling outbound on the Princes Freeway in the left lane when he allegedly veered left, overcorrected and lost control of his Toyota Hilux, causing it to land on its roof.
The man was reported to have been travelling between 90 and 95km, which was under the speed limit of 100km.
The incident, which happened at about 3.45pm caused a major disruption for eastbound traffic.
More than six emergency vehicles from the CFA, SES, police and ambulance were at the scene.
The man was taken to Dandenong Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
