Shutterbugs on show

More than 375 images from 90 local and national exhibitors will be showcased, in categories including landscapes, portraiture, architecture prints, photojournalism prints and open monochrome prints.
There will also be a number of photos taken by Pakenham photographers on display, including ‘Flying High’, a Certificate of Merit winning picture taken by club member Clinton Plowman.
Pakenham Camera Club president Mark Jones said a Certificate of Merit indicates that a photographer has achieved a very high standard and the exhibition displays the top 30 percent of images in each category.
“The images submitted are from amateur to semi-professional entrant levels and are of an exceptionally high standard,” he said.
“The images on show can be very inspiring and people will see a wide range of subject matter.”
He encourages everyone with an interest in photography to attend.
“Camera club members will also be on hand over the weekend to answer questions on photography and what the club has to offer to those that join.”
The exhibition will be held at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Lakeside Boulevard on Saturday 10 September from 10am to 9pm and Sunday 11 September from 10am to 3pm.
