Rallying against tax

I WOULD like to thank Senator Mitch Fifield and Federal MP Sophie Mirabella for spending Saturday morning in Berwick collecting signatures on a petition against the introduction of a carbon tax that has no mandate.
This petition was received with overwhelming support, with many thousands of locals signing the petition without reservation.
The consensus of most locals who signed the petition was that this carbon tax should not be introduced without a mandate by the people.
It’s a pity the member for La Trobe Laura Smyth didn’t spend some time among her constituents and listen to what they think.
