Saturday’s Green Keepers Revenge Stableford event saw 145 players take to the Cardinia Beaconhills fairways.
It’s an annual event where the ground staff think up some imaginative pitfalls to scare the players, and that they did!
Ian Hollingsworth (7) wasn’t phased, however.
He won A Grade with a score of 35 points.
Graeme Inglefinger (14) won B Grade with 36 points on a count back and Gary Denny (29) won C Grade with 38 points.
A barbecue and raffle was held on the 15th tee.

The Stableford event was won by David Bell (31) with a score of 38 points, winning on a count back.
Midweek
Jarrod Rodier (25) won Tuesday’s members competition with 45 Stableford points.
Jean Wheatley (27) won the Wednesday ladies’ Stableford competition with 35 points.
In the second round of the Spring Classic, Ros Harding defeated Libby Michell one up on the 20th hole, as did Jenny Chandler over Nicki Charman, Helen Lange defeated Lesley Patterson one up on the 19th hole and Barbara Mars defeated Elaine Newman Four/two.
A total of 83 players turned out for Thursday’s Stableford comp, with Ron Cook (7) winning A Grade with 40 points.
Ted Fleming (25) won B Grade with 41 points.
Staff and members at Cardinia Beaconhills are making the final preparations for this week’s Victorian Senior Open Championships which are being played on Thursday 29 and 30 September.
Ozzie Moore, Terry Price and former Australian batsman Dean Jones will be playing.
