Numbers up at bumpers event

CAR lovers, rev heads and motoring enthusiasts came out to play at the Last of the Chrome Bumpers event in Lardner on the weekend.

The unique display of classic trucks, vintage caravans, cars and super trucks were a treat for motoring fans.
Vintage traction engines and farm machinery were also on display at Lardner Park, with more than 5000 turning out for the show.
Organiser Dennis Jones was happy with the turn out and said every year the interest in the event grows.
“It went extremely well. Considering the weather wasn’t great leading up to it, it was a glorious day,” he said.
More than 2000 cars, trucks and caravans were on display.
Racing car driver Jason Bargwanna spoke at the show on Sunday and Federal Minister for McMillan Russell Broadbent came along too.
Proceeds of the car show go towards the Cora Lynn Football Club, netball club and recreation reserve.
