THE Bunyip and District ‘Strikers’ Soccer Club held their Junior Presentation night last Friday night at the Bunyip Football Club social rooms.
More than 200 people were in attendance to watch the youngsters collect their trophies along with the hard working coaches and team managers.
David Cooper, coach of the U15s ‘Dream Team’ which won both the league as well as the State Championship presented his team of champions with trophies and congratulated the boys on a wonderful season. He said that soccer was becoming the sport of choice for many today.
Cooper congratulated club president Tony Arrigo and his wife Carmelina for their dedication to the club and for the many hours that they have put into making the strikers the successful club it has become.
Carmelina was presented with flowers and Tony thanked Cooper and responded that without the hard work and professionalism of the committee and the support of parents this pleasing result would not have been achieved.
