KOOWEERUP

UNDER 13
DEFENDING 153, Kooweerup was sitting in the box seat with Tooradin 6/54. Nathan Voss collected two wickets along with brother Matt Voss and Will Geyer taking a wicket each before the rain hit and the match finished in a draw.
UNDER 11
Kooweerup bowled first and even though they toiled hard, could only restrict the opposition to 80. Archie Whitta and Cooper Drommel displayed some excellent fielding efforts. With the rain falling, Kooweerup was not given the chance to chase down the total.
T20 KOOKABURRA CUP
On Sunday Kooweerup hosted Eildon Park in their second qualifying game. Kooweerup was asked to bowl first and an outstanding spell by Matt Davey saw much pressure applied to the batsmen. His four overs netted two wickets and only went for seven runs in a fine display of bowling. Ron Bright Junior, Chris O’Hara, Shane Dole and Matt Bright all chipped in with wickets, coupled with some excellent fielding, Kooweerup was able to restrict the opposition to 96 off their 20 overs.
Michael Giles and Chris O’Hara got the run chase off to a solid start before O’Hara was dismissed for 16. Giles was in scintillating form, blasting the attack to all parts off the ground and finished on 59 not out with Shane Dole his partner on 16 not out. Kooweerup reached the target in the 10th over. They next host Yarragon on 11 December at the Kooweerup Recreation Reserve at 11.00 am.

UNDER 17
AFTER making a competitive 152 in beautiful conditions in week one of round four, the under-17 Bullants were confident of bowling out the Yabbie Gooners this week. Unfortunately due to weather conditions the game was abandoned with the away side 4/58 with less than half the required overs left.
Nathan Selleck (58*) and Toyosi Solanke (34) were the best of the batsmen, with Brenden Boon taking 2/6 and rising to the challenge in slippery conditions.
Congratulations to Solanke who has been named in the final squad of under 16 SE Country Sharks, to play in the State Regional Championships in January.
UNDER 13 GREEN
Officer Green played Gembrook at home in week one of round four.
After winning the toss, Green elected to field in perfect cricket conditions and Gembrook ended the day on 8/78 after 40 overs.
Best of the bowling was Riley Battams 2/3, Andrew Reid 2/7. Single wickets went to Jye Wallin, Matt Ryan and Shane Woolley.
In week two, the perfect conditions of the week before were well and truly gone with rain threatening to be the winner of the match.
Officer’s opening batsmen, Josh Arena and Matt Ryan, took to the task of quick runs and both retired on 33 and 30 respectively.
The game was abandoned due to the weather conditions on the 22nd over with Officer winning with 92 runs.
UNDER 13 GOLD
The under 13 gold team headed to Nar Nar Goon last week prepared for a hard fought match. With the McKenzie twins away the bowling line up was slightly depleted and the home team made 130 at the completion of the overs. Best of the bowling for Officer was Matt Lynn with 3/6, Tyler, Bayley, Grant and Lachie with one wicket each. Special mention goes to Darcy Taylor for a fantastic runout on the last ball of the innings.
Officer lost both their opening batsmen in the first few overs then Anthony Hayes (13 runs) and Callum Porter (32 retired) steadied with an awesome partnership that got the side back in the game. Tyler Clark (26 runs) was also looking dangerous when the rain came and play was abandoned with 12 overs left and 20 runs behind.
