Getting their fill

WITH the silly season in full swing, it’s not hard to think local restaurants must be run off their feet with Christmas dinners and end of year catch-ups.
But it was a little suprising for a group of workers who wanted to get together for dinner when they rang a well-known restaurant in Pakenham to make a booking, only to be told about an “empty seat” charge. They were told if only nine people showed up and the booking was for 10, they would be charged $15 per empty seat on top of their meals.
