Pakenham’s saucy Santa

PAKENHAM’s lady golfers had their final day of the year last Thursday with a fun inspired nine-hole Stableford event being followed by Christmas lunch and the annual trophy presentations.
A group of 30 ladies took to the course in a competition where you threw the ball off the first tee, used a putter only on the second hole and played with one club on the ninth.
Yvonne Tisdale was the winner with 22 points.
The laughter created set the scene for a fun-filled afternoon, where 55 members, past members, guests and staff reflected on the past 12 months and beyond.
Assistant professional David Joyce looked resplendent, giving lessons to the ladies from “Give Golf a Go” in his Santa suit.
Santa also made an appearance, kissing every lady in the room as is his customary tradition.
The serious business of trophy presentations then took place with some familiar names taking home the silverware.
