PAKENHAM Golf Club saw a great field take to the course on Saturday for its 4BBB Guest Day with 165 eager players teeing it up.
Club president Rob Nobelius and his partner Alan Reid took out the day with an impressive 51 points while Marty Farrands and Tim Sallai secured the runners-up prize on a count back with 50 points. Balls down the line went to 45 points on a count back.
Nearest the pins went to Dan Cameron (second), David Andrews (fifth), Geoff Sullivan (eighth), Mark Stewart (14th) and Shane Wilkinson on the 16th. Best second shots went to Dan Cameron on the third and Greg Riley on the sixth. Longest Drives were A Grade Clint Walker, B Grade Anton Kokke and C Grade Matthew Hogan. Next week’s competition is a Stableford event.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:MONDAY

Competition winner was Jeffrey Le Busque (20) who had 44 points winning on a count back from Ray Shalders. Balls down the line went to 34 points on a count back and nearest the pins went to Steven Laing (second), Ray Shalders (eighth) and Geoff Sullivan on the 14th.

The twilight competition winner was Scott Phillips winning with 21 points from Ron Silver with 20 points. Balls down the line went to 16 points on a count back and the social winner was C.Boyd.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:WEDNESDAY NIGHT TEES AND TWILIGHT GOLF

The club holds a nine-hole twilight golf competition every Wednesday, right through to the close of daylight savings. Tee times start at 3.00pm and members and guests are both welcome.
Follow the golf with dinner at the club from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. Members, guests and visitors are all invited to try out the new menu at a reasonable cost. The first Wednesday of the month is a roast carvery with all other weeks an a la carte menu.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:SUNDAY

Sunday competition winner was Ian Fletcher (21) with 41 points from junior player Dylan Jack-Murphy (24) with 40 points while balls down the line went to 36 points.
Sunday also saw the club host an Open Day with a Mixed Canadian Foursomes event followed by a barbecue tea on the deck-bar. Thank you to Les and Kay Jones (Cignall-Berwick) for their continued support of the event and the golf club.
The winners of the day were Sue Menzel and David Nagel with a handicap of 16 7/8, a nett score of 71 1/8 and won the day by 2/8 from Leanne Davey and Rob Nobelius with 71 3/8. Best scratch score was Tym and Kerrie Davey with 86 gross while the nearest the pins on the eighth went to D.Nagel (Mens) and J.Mitchell (Womens).

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:LADIES

A reminder to the Ladies that the Summer Cup event will begin on Thursday 2 February. This event runs over four weeks and alternate nines will be played.
Entry list is available in the Pro-shop and the draw will be ready by Thursday 26 January. Hit off will be from 8am. Please contact the ladies captain for further details.
