PAKENHAM skipper Mick Torney consulted his players before deciding key batsman Russell Lehman would be dropped from Saturday’s match against Beaconsfield.
Lehman was under the gun after an alarm clock failure saw him late to the ground.
It’s not the first indiscretion for Lehman this season, and sends a clear message to all at the Lions’ den that discipline will play a key role in its run towards the finals.
Lehman was replaced by junior player Greg Interlandi who put in some spectacular efforts in the field as the Tigers’ middle order cut loose.
Wake-up call for Lehman
