SONGBIRD and Officer resident Vanessa Amorosi has been forced to cancel her concert at the Melbourne Zoo after reports that she fell off a horse.
While Ms Amorosi’s management has not confirmed reports of the horse incident, they have confirmed that she was hospitalised on Wednesday before being released 12 hours later.
Her management then said she returned back to hospital the next day and won’t be released from hospital until the doctors are satisfied that she is back in good health.
These circumstances have led her and her management to make the final call, backed by her doctor’s recommendation, to unfortunately cancel her show at Melbourne Zoo Twilight Series last weekend.
“I am really sorry to everyone who was coming to the twilight show. I was really looking forward to performing to you all in such a great environment, especially as this was planned to be my last Melbourne show before heading back to Los Angeles,” Ms Amorosi said in a statement.
Organisers and management are trying to secure a new date for this show. Please refer to the zoo website for any updates at www.zoo.org.au
