A MOTHER was caught doing more than twice the speed limit in a school zone while driving her kids to school in Officer.
Pakenham police targeted Tivendale Road in Officer, which is the location of three schools and is a permanent 40km/h zone.
Senior Sergeant Fiona Tolmie said the operation was a result of numerous complaints regarding speeding through school zones in Cardinia Shire.
Sen Sgt Tolmie said if the mother was just one kilometre per hour more over the limit her car would have been impounded.
“Numerous drivers were detected speeding including two bus drivers,” Sen Sgt Tolmie said.
“Other issues included double parking and children not using school crossings.”
