FEBRUARY 2011 was one of the wettest on record in Pakenham.
Last month the area was within two days of its driest months.
Just 48mm of rain fell across the town for the month, more than 150mm less than the 2012 February total of 206mm. The month would have been extremely dry if not for the 28th, when 31mm fell in one very rainy day.
Apart from that wet 24 hours, there was only two other rainy days for the second month of the year.
The storms that struck the area on the 16th managed to cause extensive flooding in Cora Lynn and surrounds, but managed to miss Pakenham.
Up until Tuesday morning, 46mm had already fallen in March, almost as much as the entire February rainfall.
