POLICE are seeking the driver of an older-model Nissan Patrol, which wrought havoc on Belgrave-Gembrook Road in Emerald late last month, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Shortly after 9am on Saturday, 24 March the Patrol collided with two parked cars outside Vibe Health and Fitness in Emerald’s main street.
One of the parked cars, which belonged to a Vibe fitness instructor, was written off.
“It was her 30th birthday and she was about to head to the airport to pick up her partner,” said Vibe’s Tiffany Smith.
“I then lent her my car.”
Belgrave Sergeant Michael Stuebner said police were on the lookout for a two-toned, dark green and silver Nissan Patrol with a large bullbar.
Sgt Stuebner said one of the parked vehicles was “damaged extensively” before the driver of the Patrol left the scene.
Anyone with any information about the smash should call Belgrave police on (03) 9754 6677.
