Boating tragedy

TWO men and a woman from Pakenham received minor injuries after a boat overturned in Mallacoota on Monday morning.
Police were called to the incident around 8.45am and investigators believe the fibre glass fishing boat had travelled through a sand bar at Bastion Point Beach when it overturned, around 80 metres from shore.
A 67-year-old Yarra Junction man died at the scene, while one Pakenham man was taken to Orbost Hospital with minor injuries.
A 51-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman both from Pakenham were also on board the vessel and were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
