IS SUSAN Serey still a councillor? She is listed as my ward councillor, but hasn’t returned my email regarding the ward of which she is a representative.
Are we to expect that every time a councillor attempts to climb the “greasy pole”, the rate-paying residents will have to do without?
At present, the council appears to be an offshoot of the Liberal Party, with three councillors receiving pre-selection for the state election. I will be making representation about this “double-dipping” (any party) to the State Ombudsman. Perhaps, as my representative is MIA, I should get a reduction in rates … but we have a $125 million art precinct to fund!
Partisan politics in council, who’d a thunk it!
Damian Chapman,
Berwick.
