Thanks of Anzac

TO THE people of Pakenham and surrounds. Wow, what a fantastic response for the Anzac commemorations in the local area.
On behalf of the Pakenham RSL I would like to thank all those who attended the dawn service and just as importantly to those of you who so generously donated or purchased tokens at our various Anzac appeal sales points around the town.
These appeal funds are used by the RSL to assist serving and ex-serving members of the armed services when they are in need as a result of that service.
I also thank those who assisted at the dawn service and those people manning the sales points. All the following organisations like Pakenham’s Rotary Club, Inner Wheel, CWA, Legacy, Scouts, SES, CFA, Cardinia Shire and of course our speakers on the morning. All in some way helped make the event successful
My only regret was in being unable to supply a better sound system -unfortunately this was beyond my control and those of you who have spoken to me will understand why. I can only say it won’t happen again.
