THERE’S no public holiday rest for junior basketballers around the south east as it remains one of the more highly prized tournament weekends. Queen’s Birthday means only one thing for the Australian basketball community - the National Junior Classic. Dandenong Basketball Stadium was a co-host of the tournament for the country’s best and brightest across the weekend as Rangers’ teams descended to take the championship. Also excelling were the Casey Cavaliers - the Cranbourne-based basketball association - as its under-14 boys earned their spot in the tournament.
