I WRITE to ask why police are not taking action in regard to loud motorbikes roaring through Berwick – mainly down the High Street, Clyde Road and Lyall Road – clearly in breach of existing laws controlling noise emission.
Key times are, of course, the weekends, public holidays and morning and afternoon peak times.
The car yards, local hotel and outside eating areas seem to be the areas where these bikers like to display this behaviour.
Residents are entitled to live in a reasonably quite environment without this unnecessary and unlawful nuisance.
Margaret,
Berwick.
