The Pakenham community will come together on Saturday 9 December for the town’s annual carols by candlelight.
Mayor Collin Ross said the council was once again proud to present the popular event, with the support of local businesess and community groups.
“Cardinia Shire families are in for a tremendous free evening of festive entertainment,“ Cr Ross said.
Accompanied by a community choir, the 30-piece Cardinia Civic Concert Band will again be playing a selection of classic and much-loved Christmas tunes.
For many, the highlight of the night will be when Santa makes his grand appearance and witnessing the dazzling fireworks display, which will officially conclude the evening’s activities.
“This time of year is for celebrating and taking stock of the year that has been, what matters to you most and preparing for the new year ahead.
“As we join together to share in the spirit of the season, we are reminded of life’s most important things – family, friends, health, wellbeing and community.“
Carols by Candlelight will be held at Toomuc Reserve, Princes Highway, Pakenham.
Gates open at 6pm and entertainment from local schools kicks off at 7pm.
Free and full of festive spirit
