Ooh la la, a European escape in Drouin.

Nestled in the heart of Drouin is a unique slice of Paris, The French Pear Cafe.

Inside the standout teal building you’ll find a mouth watering display of perfect pastries, French toasties, macarons and so much more, all to be washed down with a coffee.

Owner Rebecca Dumergue has spent the past ten years building the business and after surviving through COVID-19, The French Pear will turn ten at the end of the month.

Ms Dumergue said the French Pear was an outstanding, one of a kind cafe and in appreciation to her supportive staff and customers the cafe will be hosting free giveaways to celebrate its birthday.

Over the years she’s focussed on creating a classic French environment, experimenting with food to provide customers something simple yet delicious.

The menu boasts an array of French inspired food, “we prepare freshly made Turkish rolls, melt in the mouth toasties, breakfasts and our signature ploughmans roll,” Ms Dumergue said.

Whether you’re passing through Drouin or a local who’s always wanted to experience the Eiffel tower, the French Pear Cafe should be your next stop.

The cafe is open Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm and weekends 7am to 2pm at 83-85 Princes Way, Drouin.
