Letter to the Editor: Motorsports park proponent disappointed at council rejection

I was surprised and a bit disappointed to read Council had decided last week to abruptly end consideration of the 2024 Melbourne Motorsport Park proposal.

The Melbourne Motorsport Park would have delivered a world class motorcycle and go-kart venue at the Key Lane site for use by the broader community, the local MC club as well as professional racers and teams from all around Australia.

I expect council will now seek public tenders for future use of the site as part of their new Investment Advisory Committee.

The Melbourne Motorsport Park would welcome the opportunity to have their proposal publicly evaluated alongside any other competing options.
